Why photo document?
Every Insurance Company, and every Law Enforcement Agency, will tell you to have current Photographs of all your Belongings, and of your Children/Vulnerable People.
I Also recommend you have Digital Photographs of your vital records and Family Photographs saved online, and/or in a safety deposit box in case of a fire.
The reason is if they are lost, stolen or destroyed it will greatly aid in their being found, recovered, reproduced or valuated.
